Just this past week I've been asked for updates on the amount raised to date on at least half a dozen occasions. It is startling to see how much excitement there is about our goal and how keen so many of you are to see this project through to a successful completion. Of course, success depends on many factors which ultimately affect the total amount raised.
As of last week - I'll explain why I'm using old figures in a moment - this is where we stand.
There is still a large sum to collect from those who have pledged but not yet made their deposits and who may yet increase the amounts they spend like so many of you already have. Additionally, several local businesses have taken quite an interest in our SITR loan notes and there's a significant amount being raised through those. I'm optimistic we should be able to attain our target but I must advise some secrecy about the actual sums involved as we approach the next critical phase.
While I understand the excitement and the keen attitude of many of you I do have to point out the downside of giving out such pertinent information too regularly. Providing up to date info on our bank balance does somewhat weaken our negotiations. Imagine buying a house and telling the vendor exactly how much money you have available, they'd be laughing all the way to the bank! I'm sure you understand that as we get closer to negotiating day, I'll have fewer details to share :-)
Shares can be bought by BACS, cheque or cash. Our prospectus contains a form on the last page which would be useful for us to have along with cheques or cash so we know who the shares are for.
To make a BACS payment please ensure you include the payment reference we've sent you. If you don't have one then please use your surname and postcode as the reference so we know who it's from. Payments should be made to;
Account Name: Northwold & Whittington CBS Ltd
Sort Code: 20-16-12
Account Number: 33715701
Should you be in any doubt about where/who/how to make payments please contact our little group using the details here.
