A Change of Scenery

Whilst we've been busy posting invites through letterboxes I'm aware that some of you may not have been paying attention. I know, I know, it looks like junk mail, right?

So here's a little reminder...

Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April we'll be open from 2pm til late serving a selection of ales, lager, wine, spirits, soft drinks and snacks at Northwold Village Hall.

Saturday night from 5pm till 8pm we'll have freshly made wood-fired pizza and on Sunday there will be live music.

I've spent some hours this afternoon with our team of helpers setting the scene. Our new bar is on loan from The Fairyland Trust and the Village Hall is looking rather cosy. I'm amazed at the effort some people put in to do their bit for the community and to help others. Whilst on that subject I must say well done to everyone who took part at Archie's fundraising event at the Northwold Sports & Social Club. What a fantastic amount raised!

There is also a growing amount of charitable thinking in our younger generation. A few local teenagers are busy making plans to raise cash for another cause. At this pop-up they will be providing tea, coffee and cakes: generating funds to help support the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s work with disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk. They'll be walking the Norfolk Coastal Path later in the year so every ounce of encouragement will be beneficial!

Steering group members will be on hand all weekend to chat with you regarding the benefits of a community-owned pub and answer questions you may have about pledging and buying shares. See you there.
