Elizabeth Truss Offers to Help Protect Northwold's Character

Last week I received an email regarding the village pub from The Rt. Hon. Elizabeth Truss MP, Member of Parliament for South West Norfolk. In it Elizabeth states;

I am always keen to protect the unique character of our villages and would be happy to take this matter up with Breckland Council in relation to your plans for community ownership.

She also asked for an update on the latest Parish Council meeting and whilst it was a little embarrassing to have to admit that a decision was deferred because we lacked a clerk I do hope that I expressed the community's sentiment clearly.

I note that the Parish Council planned to hold an extraordinary meeting on 22nd August to discuss the re-nomination of the Crown as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) and would be most grateful if I could be updated on the outcome.

The next Parish Council meeting is due to be held on Tuesday 5th September at 7:30pm in the village hall. The agenda does contain an item relating to a letter from Elizabeth Truss so it will be interesting to hear if it is relating to the Crown.

Once again, there will be a public forum and the Crown ACV is high up on the agenda - which means you won't necessarily need to stay for the whole meeting. I look forward to seeing you there and hearing your opinions.
