On Tuesday 22nd August the Parish Council will meet again to discuss if they can help us to Save The Crown Inn and buy time for a community purchase. It promises to be an interesting meeting given the most recent developments.
Tuesday's agenda contains only one item of note:- a discussion of the re-nomination of the Crown as an Asset of Community Value (ACV).
An Extraordinary Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 22nd August 2017, 7.30pm at Northwold Village Hall. This is to discuss resubmission of an application for the Crown Inn to become an Asset of Community Value.
The meeting starts at 7:30pm in the Village Hall but the doors are open beforehand so you can take a seat and get acquainted.
'Ordinary' meetings usually take a pause in July and resume in September. This August however, there has already been one 'Extraordinary' meeting and next week's will be the second extraordinary meeting scheduled during the summer break.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parish council for going the extra mile and showing their support for the feelings of the community. You can too - come along, raise your hand and say a sentence or two about the future of The Crown. Of particular importance will be discussion of the public consultations held to date, their high attendance figures and any action you can take to help our cause.
I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible and listening to what you have to say.
