Community Consultation /2

Last night approximately 70 of us got our heads together to consider the Crown's future role in the community.

Your wealth of ideas certainly didn't disappoint! In order to make this a viable project we'll be whittling down some of the less popular or extravagant proposals in order to reach an affordable outcome that's desirable by most. Yes, we had to be a little 'pie in the sky' but it's clear that:

  • Our community needs are unique to us.
  • We don't need anything too fancy.
  • We do need something reliable and welcoming.
  • We like the entertainment a traditional pub offers but...
  • We're looking to replace basic services we've lost.
  • We need to work together with the facilities already on offer in Northwold.

At some point in the near future we'll take these ideas to a wider audience for their opinion, most likely by questionnaire - so keep your eyes peeled on your letterboxes!
These ideas will be used as the basis of the next community consultation which will help form our business plan and details of any share offer.

Brainstorm

Thanks for attending and taking an active part in shaping the future of Northwold... Once again I was bowled over by your enthusiasm!

Don't forget - the Parish Council discuss their support and/or objection to the nomination tomorrow night at 7:30 in the village hall. You can have your say - positive or negative - in the public forum before the meeting begins. It's important the councillors know how you feel about this so if you've been too shy to speak up at our meetings you can go along and have your voice heard.

PS - I think belly dancing will probably be shelved for another time.
